United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.  Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.  To learn more about this global organization, visit their website at http://new.gbgm-umc.org/umw/.  The Skycrest unit of the United Methodist Women is very active with four "circles".

Martha Circle - meets Mondays at 10:00a in the small fellowship hall.  This group sews and knits for various ministries at the church, such as prayer shawls for those in nursing care. 

Mary Lydia Circle - meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:00a in room 108.  This group focuses their support on the Skycrest Child Development Center and other children's ministries.

Rebekah Circle - meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:00a in group member's homes.  They are a Women of Faith study group.

Ruth Circle - meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00p in the small fellowship hall.  Their meeting time is one of prayers and fellowship.

The Unit meeting for UMW is on the 1st Thursday of the month at 11:45a, except for in October and December which are held at 6:00p.
