Parent Meeting

The Skycrest Kid's Ministry team is inviting anyone  (parent's especially) to our first Parent Meeting of 2012.  For the first 30 minutes or so, our Director of Children's Ministry, Ted Rokitowski, will be briefing on what's happening the first half of 2012 regarding Skycrest Kids.  We'll go over curriculum, Sunday schedules, volunteer needs, and building improvements (directly related to Skycrest Kids).

The rest of the meeting will be open for parents and guest to give their ideas, concerns, pose questions, and/or, express their thoughts about Skycrest Kids.

We believe it's extremely important parents are involved in their children's lives at church; this is a great opportunity to do just that.  We hope to see you there!

A Note to Families:

Hello Parents and Family!

Thank you all for being a part of your children's lives - even bringing them Sunday morning is contributing to their spiritual growth.  However, we here at Skycrest want to earnestly connect the family and the church, so that means going beyond just being a chauffeur for your kids.  Hopefully many of you are already participating in your children's spiritual journey and connect with them on a deeper level.

We realize, though, that sometimes it's difficult to make that connection.  After a day of work, school, homework, extra-curriculuar activities, and the chores of life, sitting down to discuss God can be a heavy load.  Especially if you have little guidance in how to start that convorsation or what to ask your kids or even how to respond to their questions.

One of our primary goals at Skycrest is to equip both children and family to enter into honest communication about Jesus and our spiritual journey with Him.  Instead of trying to squeeze time in for God, let's make that time a staple in our daily lives.  We're going to help by providing a lot of resources for parents and family.

Your children will have the opportunity to experience God time, fellowship, learning, Scripture, and prayer on Sunday mornings - but don't let it stop there!  You'll find our monthly theme and a brief description of it below.  There are several PDF files for you to download that will assist you with openning up lines of communication and action with your children.   There are also a few links and other resources that are benefitial for parents to grow, learn, and experience!
